The Culture-centred Care Workshops promote principles of person and culture-centred care of people with a life-limiting illness, their families and communities. Two separate workshops are offered under this category:

  • Culture-Centred Care of People with Life-Limiting Conditions from Indigenous Australians’ Perspectives
  • Culture-Centred Care of People with Life-Limiting Conditions from a Multicultural Perspective

Healthcare professionals who have already attended a PEPA palliative approach workshop might attend either one or both of these workshops as an addition, to build their capacity to deliver person and culture-centred care.

NOTE: The Culture-Centred Care of People with Life-Limiting Conditions from Indigenous Australians’ Perspectives contains content directly from the Palliative Approach to Care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Care Providers Workshop but does not include content on clinical care for a person with a life-limiting illness e.g. symptom management; therefore it would not be beneficial for a participant to attend both workshops.
