Christine is a clinical coordinator at Anglicare SA Dutton Court Residential Care, following the PEPA Aged Care placement she has been providing toolbox sessions to care staff and nursing staff coving topics in understanding palliative and end of life care.
Christine reports “my workplace has provided a platform for me to assist, learn and apply the theory in providing care to a resident with a life limiting illness” The staff members that have undertaken Christine’s toolbox sessions have reported that they have understood the role and use of palliative care and their responsibilities within the facility.
Christine plans to continue to provide regular sessions for staff.
