Rachel has been immersed in palliative care for 20 years. Prior to that she was a home-based RN delivering palliative and end-of-life care in people’s homes for over 10 years. In that time she has seen all that palliative care can offer. She has always liked to teach and show people the excellence that palliative care can be. As the palliative care educator at Canberra Health Services as part of the Clare Holland House team and this has given Rachel countless opportunities to give voice to everyone who can deliver and receive palliative care. She loves that palliative care research continues to grow and underpin practice. Rachel is feeling proud to step into Roslyn Kirk’s shoes as she has left a wonderful footprint. Her interests include qualitative research, engaging with paramedics, disability workers as well as anyone who wants to improve their death literacy, my family, garden and pets.
