Who can become a Mentor?

A person working in palliative care who is dedicated to sharing knowledge and supporting other generalist health care workforce staff. If you are motivated to support participants to elevate the palliative care they can provide in their workplace then mentoring needs you!

Mentor eLearning Resources

The mentoring resources consist of 4 learning modules encompassing –

  • Preparation to mentor
  • The role of the mentor,
  • Culturally responsive mentoring.
  • PEPA participant case study.

Mentoring Workshop

The workshops are interactive and face to face. Designed for palliative care specialist staff wanting to take the next step to mentor and share their knowledge and experience. The workshops are run by experienced PEPA/IPEPA facilitators who will guide you through the fundamentals of mentoring. You will be able to join a group of like-minded palliative care specialists dedicated to supporting the future of the workforce.

Learning that is core to the workshops includes:

  • Culturally safe mentoring
  • Communication and feedback skills
  • Reflective skills
  • Supporting the mentee to identify their strengths in palliative care provision

Workshops are coordinated by our State and Territory partners.
